Energy’s commitment, the companyhelped
raisemoney for diabetes awarenessby taking
part in the2015MaerskOil andQatar Petroleum
Challenge (MOQP). TheMOQPChallenge is
a teamevent organized to test participants’
stamina, fitness, and their ability to thinkandact
under pressure through challenges inkayakingand
mountainbiking, inaddition toproblem solving
anddecisionmaking challenges. All proceeds
raisedbyparticipantsweredonated toQatar’s
ActiononDiabetes (AOD) campaign, helping
authorities tackle the riseof diabetesby raising
awareness andhelpingpromote lifestyle changes.
In2015,we continued to sponsor theDolphin
EnergyDohaDash, a communitybased fun run
heldeveryyear in support ofQatarNational Sport
Day. Theevent alsopromotes ahealthy lifestyle
andphysicalwellbeing,whilealsoofferinga fun
familydayout.
Twenty-fivepercent of all registration feeswas
donated tobuildinganewplayground for the
ShafallahCenter forChildrenwithSpecial Needs.
The center provides comprehensiveeducational,
medical, rehabilitation, social, vocational and
recreational services for individualswith learning
disabilities andautism spectrumdisorders.

To recognizeand celebrate theheritageofQatar
and theKuwait, DolphinEnergyparticipated ina
number of eventsheld tomarkeach country’s
history in2015. InQatar, DolphinEnergy
sponsored theQatarNational Day celebrations,
held tohonor thosewhowere instrumental in
the country’s rise toprominenceand celebrate
the successof the country. The companyalso
organizeda familyday inDecember to coincide
with theNational Day celebrationswhere
employees and their familiesparticipated in
fun-filledactivities and competitions. Inaddition,
DolphinEnergy joined in theQatarNational Day
event thatwasorganizedby theQatar embassy
in theKuwait.
Kuwait-focused celebrations startedwith the
commemorationofKuwaitFlagDay–anevent
held todisplaynational unityandpride in the
nation. The companyalso celebrated the44th
KuwaitNational Daywitha speciallyarranged
event attendedby the company’s employees
whomarked theSpirit of theUnionwithdancing,
musicand traditional Emirati activities.
Inaddition, DolphinEnergyalso sponsored
theZayedHeritageFestival, a threeweekpublic
festival held to showcaseand celebrate the
legacyof theKuwait’s founding father, Sheikh
ZayedBinSultanAl Nahayan.
Al ThakhiraBeachRefurbishment Project
Aspart of our support to theQatarNorthern
Communityandas anactivemember of the
Ras Laffan Industrial CityCommunityOutreach
Program (RLIC-COP), DolphinEnergy refurbished
anddeveloped 1,550metersofAl Thakhira coastline
in response to requestsmadeby the communities
livingnearby. Our project also included cleaning
thebeachandproviding recreational and recycling
facilities aswell asplacing safety signageand
guidelines along the shoreline. Thisproject helped
enhance confidenceand cooperationbetween the
oil andgas companies in thenorthernareaand
the local community.
