Well IntegrityManagement System
OurWell IntegrityManagement System (WIMS)
ensures the safety, reliability, efficiencyand
general fitness for serviceof everywell.
TheWIMS identifies theprocesses, controls,
procedures andaccountabilities tobeadopted
inorder to safeguard the long-term integrity
of thewells throughwhichweextract rawgas.
TheWIMSwasfirst rolledout in2014with the
aimof reducing the riskof uncontrolled releases
of liquidsor gases (formationfluids). The system
provides real time information toenhance the
management of thewells andearlydetection
of anypotential incident, andhelpsprioritize
themost criticalwells forworkover.
Pipelines IntegrityManagementSystem
The integrityofourpipelinesystem isa toppriority
atDolphinEnergy. In2015,we integratedall of
DolphinEnergy’supstreampipelines intoaPipelines
IntegrityManagementSystem (PIMS) to reduce the
possibilityofpipeline leaks. Thenewsystemextends
the lifeofourpipelines in themostcosteffective
manner and simultaneouslymaintains adequate
safeguards forourpeopleand theenvironment.
ThePIMS improves theavailability, accessibility
and reliabilityof thepipeline integritydata. Italso
increases the informationandanalytical capabilities
foroperating teammembers toachieve rapid,
systematicandproactive identificationof risks
tomake timelyandwell informeddecisions.
EnsuringPlantAvailability
Oneoutcomeofourcommitment toprocesssafety
andasset integrity isensuringaveryhigh level of
availabilityatourplantandexportgascompressors
(EGCs). For thepast fouryears,wehaveachieved
100%plantavailability, andno less than99.80%
availabilityofourEGCs.
In2015,we initiateda study toquantify the
additional operating capacityavailable in theRas
Laffanonshore facilitieswhenoneof the four gas
processing trains is shut downwith thegoal of
maintainingmaximum throughput of natural gas
supplyusing just three trains. This investigation
will help inmaintainingahigher plant production
rateduring shutdown therebyprovidingmore
reliableoperations, and subsequently improving
customer satisfaction. The study isbeing conducted
in threephases: the safetyphase identifies the
maximum safeoperating capacitywith three
trains running toensure safety systemsdonot
exceed their design limitations. The subsequent
phaseswill determine theprocessunit capacity
limitations and identifyany constraints in
achieving themaximumoperating capacity that
will bedefined in the study safetyphase.
