GoldenSafetyRules
To strengthenand improveour safetyperformance,
we identifieda set of 12GoldenSafetyRules in
2015 to serveas a constant reminder ofDolphin
Energy’smost important safety requirements.
These ruleswill be introduced in 2016 through
a varietyof communicationand interactive
training. Theywill be strictlyenforced toensure
the safetyof our peopleand the communities
weoperate in. Everyoneworking for or onbehalf
ofDolphinEnergywill beheld responsible for
making sure they fullyunderstand the rules and
follow themat all times. Disciplinaryactionswill
be taken if the rules areviolated.
Wealsohave several programs toengage
our employees specificallyonHSE&S issues.
TheOffice EmployeeHSECommittee is
responsible for promotingHSE&S awareness
in support of our commitments to theprotection
of health, safety, theenvironment and security,
and strives forHSE&Sexcellence. The role
of theCommittee is tomotivateemployees
toactivelyparticipate inall aspectsofHSE&S,
fromcorporateHSE&S initiatives, support for
HSE&S relatedevents in local schools and
charities, toensuring collaborationbetween
all participatingdepartments. TheCommitteealso
promotesHSE&Sawareness toall employees,
their familiesand the local communitieswhere
weoperate.
In2015,wedevelopeda specific tool calledHSE
Majlis, throughwhichwe sharepersonalizedHSE&S
tipswithour staff tohelp raiseawarenessand
foster a safeandhealthyworkplaceand lifestyle
amongall our employeesandcontractors.
In2015, we continuedwith the roll
out of a company-wide ‘Stop and
Think’ campaign tohelp keep safety
at the forefront of our employees’ and
contractors’minds.
The campaignwas implemented in
twophases. Thefirst phase focused
on increasing the awareness of human
errors, their impact andhowwe can
eliminate them. The secondphase
was conductedduringpreparation
for the2016 shutdown. ‘Stop and
Think’ presentationsweregiven to all
employees inRas Laffan, and further
awareness sessionswere conducted
for plant safety administrators,
maintenance andoperations personnel,
and contractors. The total number of
attendees reached335.
