the local power grid, Dolphingenerates
its own electrical power from steam
turbines drivenby steam supplied
fromHeat RecoverySteamGeneration
(HRSG) units on theplant.
DolphinEnergy seeks to improve its
fleetmanagement system inorder to
reduce its energy consumption and
CO
2
emissions. The company uses an
automated vehiclebooking system to
schedule trips as efficiently as possible
and thereby optimize vehicle usage
and reduce unnecessary trips.
In 2013, we surveyedour fleet vehicle
usage in theKuwait todetermine further
opportunities to reduce vehicle fuel
consumption. The study inspecteddata
from the in-vehiclemonitoring system to
discover howdriver behavior is affecting
fuel consumption, anddeveloped
recommendations formaking fleet
vehicleusagemoreefficient.
