In2013, DolphinEnergy sponsored the
inaugural DolphinEnergyDohaDashon
QatarNational SportDaywith theobjective
of encouraging citizens and residents of
Qatar to livemorephysically active lives.
A community fun run, the event was
designed tobe accessible for everyone,
with 5km and3km races for ages eight
and above; a 1km race for children; and
a 1km ladies' walk.More than1,360
peopleparticipated inone of the four
events onoffer. Three hundred ninety-
oneDolphinEnergy employees and their
families registered toparticipate.
SomeDolphinEnergy employees also
volunteered to help theday run smoothly
and efficiently. Aportionof the entry fees
was allocated to the charity ‘ReachOut
toAsia’, aQatar-basednon-profit
organization that works to achievebasic,
quality education for primary and
secondary school children living in crisis-
affected countries throughout Asia and
theMiddleEast.
DolphinEnergy plans to hold the event
again in 2014, encouragingDolphin
Energy employees tobeat their times
registered in the 2013 races.

toBenefit theEnvironment (GLOBE)
Program is aworldwide, hands-on
primary and secondary school-based
science educationprogram. The
program envisions a community
of students, teachers, and scientists
working together tobetter understand,
sustain, and improve theEarth’s
environment at local, regional, andglobal
scales. Inorder to achieve this vision,
theprogrampromotes the teaching
and learningof science, enhances
environmental literacy and stewardship,
andpromotes scientificdiscovery. You

In 2013, DolphinEnergy obtained
approval from theSupremeEducation
Council (SEC) to lead collaboration
betweenRas Laffan Industrial City
CommunityOutreachProgram and
SEC to implement theprogram inQatar.
In addition to sponsoring theprogram,
DolphinEnergy’sPublicRelations team
isworking to increaseparticipation
in theprogramby reachingout to
schools, and arranging teacher training
and thedelivery of programmaterials.
