andemergencymanagement into
QHSE&SManagement System, whereby
emergency arrangements based on
potential risks are established, covering
all company facilities, locations, activities
andoperations. Key support functions
include crisis communication and human
resources. It is important that the company
is fully prepared to respond toall such
situations in order toprotect its people,
limit the damage to theenvironment and
its facilities andmaintain its reputation.
The crises andemergencymanagement
arrangements aredesigned to respond
and control an emergency situation,
prevent escalationandmitigate any losses
that might accompany such situations.
Exercises are also conducted at regular
intervals to test emergency preparedness
and ensure that thepeople involved
areawareof their responsibilities, and
providedwith suitableongoing training.
Such arrangements areexposed to
continuous reviewand improvements to
include any recently identified emergency
or crisis risks.
