EmployeeHealth andSafety
As part of its ongoing efforts to provide
safe systems of work for employees,
DolphinEnergy implements a program
of HSEand security training to improve
employee knowledgeandpromote
hazardawareness and eliminate potential
occupational risks in theworkplace.
Ensuring effective hazard recognition
andproactive risk reduction are routinely
implemented helps to secure a safe
place of work for theworkforce across
the different facilities and operations the
companymanages.
Within its industry, DolphinEnergy
measures the safety performance by
adoptinga number of leadingand
lagging key performance indicators.A
keymeasurement within safety involves
recording the total number of injury- or
illness-related incidents that the company
experiences permillion hoursworked - the
Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR).
Additionally, DolphinEnergy records the
Lost Time Incident Rate (LTIR) which
tracks thenumber of incidents that result in
a lost time injury or illness permillionhours
worked. The graphs compareDolphin
safety performancewithOGPmember
companies on aworld-wide basis and
within theMiddleEast region.
For comparisonpurposes, theQHSE&S
division benchmarkedDolphinEnergy’s
results against established petroleum
industry adopted standards of the
International Association of Oil andGas
Producers (OGP). From 2003 through
to 2009, DolphinEnergy employees and
contractors haveworked inexcess of 160
millionhours in project and operational
activities. Over the last seven years the
combinedTRIR has been1.92. The graph
comparesDolphin’s safety performance
based onTRIRandLTIRwithother OGP
member companies on aworldwidebasis
andwithin theMiddleEast region for the
last three years.

DolphinEnergy’s regular wellness
programs havebeenongoing for several
years and areorganizedbyQHSE
division in conjunctionwith theTraining
andDevelopment team. Employees
areencouraged toattend thewellness
programmeetings and areallowed to bring
onemember of their family as a guest.
In addition to thewellness programs
DolphinEnergy prepares anddistributes
HSE campaigns related to road safety,
heat stress, stopping smoking, diet,
recycling, housekeeping, security
awareness, pandemics anddiabetes to
