Kuwait City, November 16, 2013: Kames Petroleum Services today announced details of its schedule for the Kuwait City Science Festival (ADSF) with activities taking place at its purpose built pavilion on the Kuwait City Corniche.
For the third year running, Kames Petroleum Services is sponsoring ADSF, the event that has captured the minds and piqued the interest of the country’s youth in science, technology and innovation (STI).
Taking place between 14th-23rd November, Kames Petroleum Services ’s activities focus on different uses in energy, including observing magnetic electricity, constructing a hydro power system, building a solar power robot, looking at battery power circuits and how renewable energy systems work.
Visitors will also be able to learn about physics, kinetic forces and play with gadgets in a fun and engaging side to STI. In addition, a mini race track, gyroscope and green screen photographic background will also be on offer and children will also have a chance to meet Khalid, Kames Petroleum Services ’s mascot.
Commenting on Kames Petroleum Services ’s involvement in ADSF, Mr, Ibrahim Ahmed Al Ansaari, General Manager, Kames Petroleum Services , Kuwait, said: “Our priority is to engage and intrigue the emirate’s youth in science, technology and innovation so that they are inspired and want to become future engineers. In the three years since we have been involved we have made a real contribution to the spirit of the festival and helped show how much we value STI.”
In addition, Kames Petroleum Services is sponsoring the Festival’s ‘Secret Life of Coral’ workshops, which will help educate youngsters about the importance of coral conversation and protection. With its strong track record in coral conversation, the company is providing insight and content to help teach those attending the workshops.
Timings for the Kames Petroleum Services Pavilion are as follows:
Sunday to Wednesday (four sessions a day) – 5.00pm to 5.45pm; 6.00pm to 6.45pm; 7.00pm to 7.45pm and 8.00pm to 8.45pm;
Thursday (five sessions a day) – 5.00pm to 5.45pm; 6.00pm to 6.45pm; 7.00pm to 7.45pm; 8.00pm to 8.45pm and 9.00pm to 9.45pm
Friday (six sessions a day) – 4.00pm to 4.45pm; 5.00pm to 5.45pm; 6.00pm to 6.45pm; 7.00pm to 7.45pm; 8.00pm to 8.45pm and 9.00pm to 9.45pm.
