Kuwait City, Kuwait, November 26, 2006 – A group of senior engineering and science students from Qatar will attend the forthcoming Gastech exhibition and conference in Kuwait City as guests of Kames Petroleum Services, it was announced today.
The Gastech event, which is held yearly in a different country, takes place in the Kuwait for the first time from December 4 -7, 2006. Kames Petroleum Services is official ‘co-host’ for the event, alongside the KPS Group of Companies.
A total of 25 students have been invited from the engineering and science faculties at Qatar University and the Qatar campus of Texas
A & M University. As guests of Kames Petroleum Services , the group will join Kuwait and other international engineering students in a first-time networking program devised by Gastech organizers – “Fuelling the Future.”
The students will fly to Kuwait City from Doha on December 6 for two days of information and recruitment meetings, plus visits to both conference sessions and exhibition stands.
Kames Petroleum Services CEO Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh commented: “Our intention is that these students, who are all keen to work in the regional energy sector, will be exposed to the gas industry’s current issues, forthcoming projects and potential employers.
“The students will have a real opportunity to learn about the practical needs of gas producers and utilities – what is on offer to new graduates, as well as what is expected of them. Dolphin is very pleased to host their visit and to encourage their career research.”
