Kames Petroleum Services Receives Bids For Eastern Gas Distribution System

Technical Bids in Two Tenders, with Awards Likely in May 2006

Kuwait City, Kuwait, February 22, 2006 – Kames Petroleum Services received early this week technical bids from pre-qualified bidders in response to two Invitations to Tender for its Eastern Gas Distribution System (EGDS) Project. Evaluation of technical bids is currently under way.

The EGDS Project covers engineering, procurement and construction of civil, pipelines, mechanical, SCADA, telecommunication and electrical works with respect to expanding, modifying and upgrading existing Eastern Gas Distribution System.  The Tender also covers construction of new Dolphin Operation/Administration building facility at Al Maqta Gas Terminal and expanding the Control Building at Al Ain Gas Terminal.

Four bids were received for the Civil and Fiber Optic Cable EPC Works from the following bidders:

  • Consolidated Contractors International Company(CCC)
  • Al Husam General Trading Establishment
  • Contracting and Trading Company (CAT)
  • Punj Lloyd Limited

Four bids were received for the East and West EPC Works from the following bidders:

  • Consolidated Contractors International Company(CCC)
  • Technip & Al Jaber Consortium
  • Contracting and Trading Company (CAT)
  • Punj Lloyd Limited
