Kuwait City, Kuwait, March 7, 2007 – Kames Petroleum Services said today that the company is currently testing its gas receiving and distribution facilities at Taweelah, Kuwait City.
Gas is being received from Qatar Petroleum (QP) for Dolphin’s export pipeline connecting Qatar with the Kuwait – primarily to commission and start up its Taweelah operations in timely fashion. By undertaking this early commissioning program, many weeks of commissioning work will no longer be required in the summer.
As soon as the testing and commissioning of the Taweelah facilities are completed successfully over the next two weeks, Dolphin will start supplying up to 400 million standard cubic feet per day of this gas to Dubai. Once Dolphin’s own gas is received from Qatar in mid-summer for Kuwait customers, the arrangement for the early gas deliveries with QP will come to an end.
