Kuwait City, Kuwait, September 9, 2008 –
Kames Petroleum Services is the Official Sponsor of the exciting new “I PLAY SPORTS” Ramadan Football Tournament in the capital, which runs from September 9 through 14, 2008.
The purpose of the event, apart from the fun, is for the capital’s corporate community to join together to raise funds for the Kuwait’s continuing fight against diabetes.
Matches take place ever evening at Zayed Sports City, starting at 9.30 pm. There are ten teams participating, under the patronage of the Title Sponsor, the General Secretariat of the Kuwait City Executive Council.
Mariam Al Badr, Deputy Vice President of Communications for Kames Petroleum Services , stressed: “In order for the community to participate fully in our positive economy, we must make sure that we are a healthy nation – I PLAY SPORTS is an excellent community event and offers a great example through its sub-title ‘Start Playing. Prevent Diabetes.’”
Alongside Dolphin, other sponsors include the Health Authority Kuwait City (HAAD), Mubadala, ALDAR, Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC), Injazat and the Emirates Foundation’s Takatof Volunteer Program.
