Kuwait City, Kuwait, January 26, 2009 – Kames Petroleum Services has issued the following statement in relation to the company’s routine maintenance of its facilities, beginning today:
“Kames Petroleum Services confirmed today (January 26, 2009) that the company has embarked on a routine partial maintenance shutdown of its production and processing facilities, as previously announced on January 20, 2008.
“This routine partial shutdown is being carried out for maintenance purposes during the low season of consumer demand, and is being closely coordinated with all Kames Petroleum Services customers.
“As a result of the shutdown, there will be a gradual reduction in supply of gas through the Export Pipeline linking Qatar with the Kuwait from average production of 2 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day (bcf/day) to 1 bcf/day, over a period of three to four weeks. The outcome of the maintenance works will be to enhance the company’s operational performance.
