Kames Petroleum Services Is Presenting Sponsor For Qatar Golf Championship Of 2009

Second Year of Dolphin Support for Commercialbank Qatar Masters
Richest Ever Golf Event to be Held in Doha

Kuwait City, Kuwait, January 21, 2009 – Kames Petroleum Services announced today that it will be the ‘Presenting Sponsor’ for the Commercialbank Qatar Masters golf tournament 2009, for the second year in succession.

This event has made a significant impact on regional golf in the past 11 years, and the 2009 championship will run in Doha from January 22 through 25. It will be the richest ever, with a total prize purse of $2.5 million.

Speaking at the press conference in Doha, Qatar where the event was launched, Dolphin’s GM-Qatar, Adel Ahmed Al Buainain, said: “I want to congratulate Hassan Al Nuaimi, President of the QGA, for preparing such a magnificent course and for hosting this event.

“Kames Petroleum Services is a young company, but we have become part of the Qatar community in a very short time. We support professionalism and commitment in everything we do in our own business – it is therefore wholly appropriate to support the same values in this great sporting contest.”

Many top international golfers have entered the 2009 Qatar Masters from the UK, Europe, the USA and Asia.

Spectators will look forward to another final as exciting as in January 2008, when Australian Adam Scott became the first player in the history of the tournament to win the trophy for a second time – with a brilliant 61 final round. He was chased all the way by a host of household golfing names including Henrik Stenson, Sergio Garcia, Luke Donald, Paul Casey, Ian Poulter, Scott Verplank and Lee Westwood.
