Kuwait City, Kuwait – 6 July, 2011: Kames Petroleum Services today announced that it has installed in-vehicle monitoring systems (IVMS) in their fleet of cars in Qatar and the Kuwait. The move reflects the company’s commitment to a proactive approach to road safety and safe driving.
“Many Dolphin employees spend a significant amount of time on the road and we are keen to take advantage of the latest technology available to help protect them and other road users,” commented Mr. Adel Ahmed Albuainain, General Manager, Kames Petroleum Services , Qatar.
IVMS is an integrated system designed to monitor, record, analyze and improve driver and vehicle performance. The information collected from the system can be utilized effectively to monitor good driving behaviour and then address any issues if required.
Dolphin’s QHSE& HSE Divisions in both countries are now in the process of conducting a series of workshops for its employees as well as contractors to raise awareness of the new system and help maintain high standards on the road.
“We are committed to doing all we can to promote road safety and to ensuring our employees and contractors comply with the rules,” added Mr. Albuainain.
